Ashley Cross

Ashley Cross began her career in child protective services investigations and adolescent therapy by treating patients, clients, and those in need in both public health and private practice before starting her business ventures Figure 8 Entertainment, ASAP Tax Express, ASAP Management Group, Flawless Hair and  Odyssey Health Group. Ashley is also the founder of the Beauty, Brains and Business Brunch and Seminar Series. A native of Charlotte, NC, she has an affinity for her hometown of Charlotte, NC and is committed to servicing her community. Her first strides toward becoming a Social Services professional were at NC A&T University in Greensboro, NC, where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work and kept momentum by promptly pursuing her Masters of Social Work from University of South Carolina, in Columbia, SC. Currently she is working on her Doctor of Social Work at Walden University. Ashley currently holds her clinical license in the States of NC, SC, VA, and FL. Ashley enjoys traveling the world, online shopping, reading editorials and frequenting various social, political and fundraising events.  In her spare time she spends time with her beloved twin niece and nephew and enjoys relaxing with extended family and close friends. A member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women- Queen City Metropolitan Chapter, she has been afforded an opportunity to network with other strong professional women which  inspired her to advance her community involvement with Ashley Arm’s, a non-profit charity group that supports and facilitates the mentoring efforts of young children and women. She believes in being resilient, creative, innovative and an “out of the box” thinker. Ashley also holds membership in the National Association of Professional Women, the Charlotte Minority Business Chamber and recently began volunteering for the Joel Ford for Mayor Campaign.  Ashley believes that “Success isn’t about starting a business, it’s about staying in business.”
